The National Committee on North Korea (NCNK) is delighted to announce that the Carnegie Corporation of New York will continue to support NCNK through the renewal of a 24-month, $600,000 grant.

“As a young boy in rural Indiana, I had the benefit of visiting a local Andrew Carnegie Library,” said Keith Luse, President of NCNK. “Through the library collection, I wandered the world and visualized future adventures with a sense of hope. NCNK deeply appreciates the Corporation’s ongoing work toward fulfillment of its vision to reduce the prospects of nuclear war in Northeast Asia."

This recognition of NCNK's niche role in US-DPRK relations could not be more timely, as there is speculation that President Donald Trump and Kim Jong Un may eventually meet again. North Korea is also reaching out to some US-based NGOs, conveying interest in potential re-engagement. NCNK and our 100+ members are committed to principled engagement with North Korea and we are pleased to continue working toward this mission alongside the Carnegie Corporation of New York.
